Info and guidelines for using the snowmobile trails

  • Always be considerate of skiers and other people. Speeds should be reduced near cabins, ski slopes, residences and along private roads.

  • There is a full stop and yield requirement when crossing ski trails and public roads.

  • Resting is allowed up to 30 meters directly off the trails, where there are no signs prohibiting it. It is not permitted to drive parallel to the trails.

  • General upper speed limit is 70 km/h

  • All travel is at your own risk!

  • Practice driving. You can start practice driving a snowmobile when you are 15 years old and have completed a basic traffic course. You must then have a companion who is older than 25 years old and who has had a class S driving license continuously for more than the last five years. You and your companion can each drive your own snowmobile. There must be two-way radio communication between you when driving this way.

  • If you have obtained a class A1, A, B or T driving license before July 1, 2006, you automatically have the right to drive a class S snowmobile.
